Danielle and her friends were watching The Hobbit and went looking for a set of speakers.
Quentin's door was open, just down the hall.
We bonded over Dexter, board games, and movie nights. Our friend groups merged and we all became close.
Officially a couple!
Graduation! Danielle got her first job at Pratt & Whitney in ME, and Quentin got his first job at Applied Control Engineering in MD.
Long distance was hard, but we found time for visits as much as possible. Danielle flew down for Quentin's first 5K in Baltimore!
Hershey Park with the Mahoney sisters! Danielle was the only one who stuck to the plan of no reactions for the photo.
New York city! We saw Kinky Boots on Broadway, drank some amazing milkshakes, and had a blast.
We ran our first half marathon relay together! Quentin set a personal distance best of 8.5 miles and we got some nice medals in Manchester, NH.
Journeyed out west to see Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion. Danielle had just sprained her ankle, but she was a trooper the whole time!
We finally moved in together in 2020, and spent the COVID year+ locked down as the Dover Family with Danielle's sister Emily! Hiking was our socially distanced activity of choice.
Danielle graduated with her Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia! So proud of her!
We adopted this little bundle of joy from PawSafe Animal Rescue in NY, and named her Gracie for her gray chin (gray-c)!
She grew up fast, and went from being a little ankle biter to a medium-sized ankle biter. But one thing never changed - she's a snuggler!
Still growing fast, and getting the biting under control. She was always a good girl, but by this time she was our best girl!
In September of 2022, we headed on a big vacation to Berlin, Germany.
Where Danielle ran her second Abbott World Marathon - and she crushed it!
Berlin definitely had some food highlights, like Danielle's pork knuckle in this picture!
After that we saw more sights in Munich, Germany.
Like Oktoberfest!
And Cinderella's Castle (the weather didn't cooperate but it's right behind us!)
Then it was on to Switzerland!
Where we ran around Zurich.
And saw mountain excursions, again with a few weather issues...
Quentin's face says: "there's a certain ring in my backpack, but nothing's happening with it in this fog!"
...Best view all day
Then the weather FINALLY cooperated with us on Mount Titlis!
Beautiful mountains all around, with bright, warm sunshine on the glacier!
After seeing the summit, we headed about halfway down the mountain to the turquoise Lake Trubsee.
...Where we found some public rowboats! So of course, experienced rower Danielle navigated us to the Lake center.
Where Quentin proposed! And Danielle said yes!!
On our way back, we spotted this little guy stuck in the lake treading water - so we scooped him up and let him dry off in the sun!
After a few minutes he flew off, saved đŸ™‚
